In the Book of Revelation there is a challenge to calculate the number of the beast. For thousands of years the calculation and the identification of the beast has long been the subject of vain speculation.
Here is wisdom. He that hath understanding, let him count the number of the beast; for it is the number of a man: and his number is six hundred and sixty and six. (Rev 13:18 ASV)
A seemingly conclusive method to calculate the number of the beast comes from, "The Genesis I Window" by JW Farquhar. Here JW declares that all men received the 666 mark of the beast in the beginning creation on the sixth day, when the count for evening, morning, and day was 666. On the sixth day man was created in this image. Here is the calculation from Genesis I:
Gen 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening (1) and there was morning (1), one day (1).
Gen 1:8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And there was evening (2) and there was morning (2) a second day (2).
Gen 1:13 And there was evening (3) and there was morning (3), a third day (3).
Gen 1:19 And there was evening (4) and there was morning (4), a fourth day (4).
Gen 1:23 And there was evening (5) and there was morning (5), a fifth day (5).

Gen 1:26. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:
Gen 1:31 And there was evening (6) and there was morning (6), a fifth day (6). = 666
Therefore the calculation is the addition of 6 evenings, 6 mornings, and 6 days or 666.
Therefore the identification of the beast in Revelation 13:18 is all mankind.
There have been many ideas about this controversial subject by Bible scholars and men who invent theologies. This forum welcomes all opposing ideas as well as any confirmations to the above identification of the 666 beast.

ok... so what? the author seems to have found a random correlation between the ending of a very large book and the begining. What does this have to do with me? That is.. why should I care?
The number 666 is not a random number, since it is twice exactly written in the Bible; the calc in Rev 13:18 and Solomon's 666 talents of gold --2 Chr 9:13. The beginning Creation counts (calcs) this number on the 6th day as a non-random number on all mankind. Anyone may count it in Genesis I and see that all are born with this spiritual mark of 666, because that is when all men were spiritually created. Why you should care is that the fourth calc of 666 is for Date 666 (Ezekiel 8&9) when all those who are still marked with 666 are struck down (2nd death) by the swords of six men.
DCLXVI is the Roman Numeral for 666 Dr.CharLes XaVIer in the comic book X-men by Stan Lee has all the numerals & in order to =666. You might think it an accident except that in both Daniel & Rev. 10 men are given Power W/the Beast666. Are the X-men representative of those 10 men X=10 in roman numeral I believe that MAITREYA is the real666 as posted by P.Harry Walther.
Maitreya, the Buddist messiah, calculates out to be 666 in Hebrew numerology. Bdddists are curently building 5 giant statues of Maitreya to form a global pentagram. Its called the Maitrey project. If you believe in the Bible Code, P. Harry Walther found several Codes about Maitreya, one goes like this: THE BEAST, WICKEDNESS,EVIL, FALSE, MESSIAH - CHRIST, NAZI, UFO, ARRIVAL ,COMES IN, SPEECHES.
There are two things 1) the Antichrist and 2) the calculation of the beast for the number of a man. The antichrist is a particular person (Rev 13:8,9), however the calculation (count) (Rev 13:18)is for all mankind. The Greek word for this is anthropos, which means humankind--not the number of a particular man. It has been translated improperly. The NIV gets it right with, "man's number". The NKJ is correct with, "a human number". The WEB, ASV, NASB, KJV, BBE, and NLT all use, "the number of a man", which is confusing. This does not mean that the Antichrist is not marked with the number 666, or that Maitraya is not the Antichrist. There sould be another post subject for the Antichrist.
I know this comment may come off a bit strange and apologies for being abrupt but I think I may have found indeed the Real Anti-Christ and The False Prophet, The Reason being I have had interactions on a business level that I cannot be specific about with respects to business privacy but I have every reason to believe that these two men are infact "The Beasts" They both have facebook and/or Myspace pages I know the one who I believe is the prophet url is www.myspace.com/masonic_light I have read articles about them online that have been starting to surface with regards they have attempted to take over the Illuminati but failed but the person who has made a smear campaign on them is a highly questionable character named Leo Zagami, idk you decide for yourseleves and check them out.
The mark of the beast identifies with those who buy/sell (the term God uses for those who spread the gospel, nothing to do with physical trading)in the churches during the Great Tribulation which started on May 21st, 1988 and will end on May 21st, 2011. Simple... almost. Connect the dots. The beast has for 1,000 years been interpreted as the papacy. The same beast is referred to Revelation 17:8-12. This also refers to the "wisdom" written in Rev 13:18. The two chapters (13 & 18) are chiastically linked. A major "dot" in this prophecy is 1798 when the beast wsa killed by Napoleon. Thus begins the 7heads; Pius, Leo, Gregory, Benedict, John, Paul, and John Paul. The numbers of these seven names add up to the count of 665, and await the final count from the "eighth" mentioned in Rev 17:11. By eliminating the error in the record:
no John XX, no Benedict X or John XVI, and Benedict XVI will be deposed, the count will be completed byt he "man of sin"; Satan, who comes as a man, impersonating the coing of Christ and will deceive the whole world.
